Santa came to town

I took Adelynne to see Santa. I was sad because Brandon couldnt make it because he was at work. But all is well. The whole time that we were in line to see santa, Addi just watched him very carefully and I would ask her Do you want to go take a picture with Santa, And she would say "Yeah". She was happy and just liked watching all the other kids. When it was our turn we started to get closer and closer to santa and Addi started to push away because she didnt want to get any closer. The Santa was so cute and tryed to talk to her. He asked if she wanted a candy cane and she said yeah and he handed her one and she took it then turned away and said "GO". well I sat down by santa and she began to cry. I said I dont care if she is crying I want to get a picture of her on santa's lap. I really think she thought I was just going to leave her there. She totally freaked out and this is the picture we took haha....After I picked her up she just wrapped her arms around me and I think she was happy that I didnt leave her haha. We had a good time!

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree....

Ok So I have been a loser the past month or more on posting I am so mad at myself because there is so much that I have missed. I will have to catch up some day. So here is a start....

We finally got a big tree. This is the first year we have had a big tree. all the other years we just had the one I had growing up in my room that is small. It worked for just the two of us. But now that we are more then just the two of us we need a bigger tree. I was so excited when Brandon said "ok lets get a tree". I didn't even think it would happen this year. anyways. We got the tree from walmart and we drove the mini cooper so yep you guessed it we had to find a way to fit in the car along with all the groceries haha we had to get creative but we did it. I had to take a picture of brandon driving because I thougth it was so funny we had to move his chair up as far as we could and well he had to cram into his seat haha here is the photo haha.
When we got it home we were all excited to set it up so we went right to work. Addi loved helping pull all the ornaments out and handing them to me. It made me worried though because It made me think we would run into trouble with her pulling the ornaments off the tree all the time but guess what we have had no problem with that at all. She just likes to look at it. Here is a couple pictures of her trying to help.

Daddy putting on the star!
And the finished product sorry its not a good picture we are having to use our camera phones all the time now because our cute little Addi threw our camera and busted it. so we need to get a new one. I guess I could pull out my professional one. Oh well...
Sure hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe holiday season. I love christmas and we are so excited for christmas this year it will be so fun with Addi this year. She is at that fun age:)
Merry Christmas everyone!

Disney on ice

Forever ago we went to the Disney Princesses on Ice. Adelynne loved it. She got so excited when Mickey and Minnie came out. It was really fun. We were grateful we got to go! here are a few photos.

Brandon put Addi in his coat to keep her warm as we walked to the show. She looked funny.
She got all dressed up in her Bell princess dress. She looked so cute walking holding her Daddys hand.
Waiting for the show to start.
All of us together
She got a tinkerbell light up toy. It is a cute one.
Here are some pictures from the show and again these are bad pictures. This is the day that Adelynne threw our camera. So sorry about that.

Well we had a wonderful time. I love going to stuff like that. I just love Disney:)

BYU season

Well I know this is more than late. But we went to all the home games for the BYU cougars and had a great time every time. Adelynne loved it this year. Last year I didn't really get to watch the games because she would get too hot or too cold, so I was always under the bleachers and in the mothers lounge. This year we were able to watch all the games. She loved watching for Cosmo. There were times that she would be pointing and saying Cosmo and both Brandon and I couldn't see him. She would just keep pointing and before you knew it, we would finally see Cosmo, she wasn't saying it for nothing haha. We were all dressed in BYU attire for each game. Whenever I pulled our BYU stuff out and addi would see it and start saying Football or BYU she totally would recognize it anywhere we are. I love it. She is just so smart and remembers so much it's crazy. anyways here are a few of my favorite photos throughout the year. I will tell you about some but others are just there for you to look at.

The first game and I think where it all started Adelynne looking for casmo. We got a picture with Cosmo. Adelynne didnt like that idea. She likes to see him but not getting close to him. haha but I thought it was fun.

Adelynne with her cousin. The cheerleader and the football player. Too cute!
Waiting to be picked up for a game. Had a little to much fun. I love her smile and glasses.

We also got to go to one out of state game with the team. We had a great time. This first picture was at the end of the game we leaned Addi down and the whole team gave her a High five they were so cute about it. They would tap her had so soft haha. it was way cute!
Mommy and Addi
Daddy and Addi
Our family
I love this picture just the cute smile on Addi's face oh priceless :)
This is before the game we all went with the BYU group to In-n-out I thought this picture was cool!

I dont remember what game this was but I remember how cute she was being. She loved playing with her gloves and she would look up at me and smile haha
I just love this picture of her. It was a cold game!
This was the last game BYU vs Utah
I love this picture! The BYU taking a bite out of Utah haha
She fell asleep during the game and slept for about the first half. She was tired :)
It was a fun year! always love going to the games!

Our little fairy

Not sure why I have waited so long to blog about these pictures I took of Adelynne a couple of days before halloween. The day I picked to take them it was so cold outside. The wind was really bad. It was just a bad day, But I really wanted a good picture of her tutu I made for her costume. So being the mean mommy that I am I had Adelynne stand out in the cold so I could get the picture. haha Really that is how I felt, Like a bad mom. Poor Adelynne was so cold. I only could get a few of her when she was not crying but most of them she is crying. I do like how the pictures turned out. We were only outside for all of maybe 10min. I just couldnt let her stand in the cold anymore. This first photo is my favoirte. Brandon says it has a twilight look to it haha. Anyways here are the pictures of our little fairy....

our pumpkin family

Tonight we carved pumpkins. At first Adelynne didnt want a thing to do with it. As the night went on she got more and more into it. She ended up loving it. Daddy did such a good job carving. He made three great faces. I love how they turned out. Here are a few photos and videos.

At first she just stood back and watched. She didn't want to touch it at all.
Then she just got closer and closer until she was ready to help her daddy.
I gave her a spoon to help. In this picture you can tell she is really thinking about it. If she should help or not haha.
In This video you can see how she doesn't like touching any part of the pumpkin. so we just ended up putting it in her hand. She got better with touching it.
video

We are done with the first pumpkin. Here are a couple pictures of Daddy and Addi with the first pumpkin of the year:)
Now for the second pumpkin she was more than ready to help clean it out. She was right in with her Daddy. She did a great job! Daddy's little helper. video

Done with pumpkin number two! She was more then happy to sit down next to them for a picture!
This next video I must say is the best! You have to listen very closely to hear what she does when Brandon squished the pumpkin seeds in her hand. haha. She is all about feel haha
video
( Did you love the gag haha)

Now done with pumpkin number three! Brandon did such a great job with them all. Adelynne loved all the pumpkins. Just look at her face in both of the pictures. She is loving it!
How they looked outside.

"No No No"

Yesterday morning Adelynne was looking out the window as she does this very often. She came running to me saying what I thought was "No No No" and was pointing to the window. I had no I idea what she was saying "No" about so I had to go look. Well it was Snowing haha. She wasnt saying "No" she was saying "Snow Snow Snow" haha I thought it was the cutest thing ever I looked at her and said "Oh it is snowing" and with a big smile she said "YEAH MOMMA" So we got her in some warm clothing and took her outside to get pictures of her in the first snow fall of the year. When we first got outside the snow had kind of stopped so she just stood on the ground so I could take pictures and well it started to snow again and as you can see in the picture she didnt like it as much when the snow was getting in her eyes and on her face. I thought it was cute. She was also trying to grab the snow flakes after a few seconds she started to say "cold" so we headed inside. The rest of the day she would look out the window and when it was snowing she would tell me over and over again but this time I knew what she was saying haha. It was a fun morning.

chickenpox???

I love this picture of Adelynne the other day we went and took lunch to Brandon at work and His brother had some fun stickers so we started putting them all over her and well it looks like she has the chickenpox. In the picture her face looks perfect she really looks like she is sick haha. I just thought it was funny. kind of random I know but I still thought it was cute and I had to share:)

Presidents list!

I am so proud of Brandon. He has been going to stevens-henager college for awhile now and doing a wonderful job. Last night they had an award ceremony for everyone that made the honor, dean and presidents list. Well my amazing husband made the presidents list. What that means is that he is a 4.0 student. How great is that. Brandon didn't even want to go so he thinks I dragged him to it, but I just thought, what a wonderful certificate to have in a portfolio. So yes I encouraged him to go. I am so glad he did. It was so wonderful to watch him walk up and get his award. It's going to be even more amazing when he graduates but this was just to show his accomplishments thus far. So yes this is a bragging post of how wonderful I think my husband is. He has worked so hard to get where he is now. Congrats Hun! I love you! (the pictures are not all that great because they were taken from my phone. I couldn't get very close when we walked up)

Brandon waiting to hear his name be called
Here are a few picture of him walking up after they called his name. YAY BRANDON!!! (Addi was so cute and clapped for her Daddy)
What the certificate looks like
they have the list of names in the hall as to who made the category
close up of his name
And a picture of the wonderful student with a proud little girl:)
It was a great night

Thompson Halloween party!

We had are annual Thompson Halloween party. It was a great year. everyone dressed up this year. Including ones that never have, it was great! Poor little Adelynne was so scared of all the masks. While Brandon and I were at home getting all dressed up, I had her with me so she could see me get ready so she would know that it was me with all the makeup and wig on. she was a little worried at first with all my stuff on but she was ok. Then, well the first time she saw Brandon dressed up, she literally screamed bloody murder. The poor thing was terrified. So I had Brandon take his mask off but she was still scared of him because of his nick tie. Then she was done for when she saw every one at my parents. She wouldn't let me put her down. After a long time she got kind of use to everything and was fine, But in all the pictures at the beginning she is crying. Then you will see when she is ok. Lets just say Halloween is not her favorite holiday. Poor thing.

Here is each family.

She started to be happy again:)
We played the fishing game.
Eat a donut off a string
Hit a pinada and got lots of candy.
She is doing great here. Having fun playing with buzz lightyear (Hayden). Look at that smile. I do love this picture:)
we had to end up separating all the candy for the kids because some got more than others. you know how that can end up like:) This picture is all the grandkids trying to get what candies they want. It was a little crazy. We had everyone pick 5 candies then 5 more until they were all gone. It was funny because we could tell what candy the kids didnt like all that was left at the end was whoppers haha. They had a good time doing this.

Zing Zang Zoom

This past weekend we got to go see the circus that was in town, "Zing Zang Zoom". It was so much fun. I cant remember the last circus I had gone to. I was very excited to see what Adelynne would think about it. She LOVED it. She sat through the whole 2 hours. There were parts that we had to try to keep her entertained but then they would bring out some animals and she would be back watching again. She was so excited to see the horses. When they first came out she wasn't sitting on my lap but she had to yell over to me, "momma horses" and was pointing with the biggest smile on her face, it was priceless. I think I may have enjoyed watching her reaction more than the show. But we were all entertained. That is definitely something we will go to again. Here are a few pictures and a few video clips.

This was the beginning of the show.
The Horses that Adelynne loved. They were very beautiful horses. They were fun to watch. Its crazy what they can make the animals do.
We got one of the fun ice drinks during intermission for Addi. She loved it and it got all over mommy. As you can see the cup is not much of a cup haha. It was fun though. She loved the cup. She would keep pointing at it and making kitty noises. It was cute.
Here is a little video during the circus. I wish you could see Addi dancing and her face. But its just to dark, so sorry but I thought the elephants were fun! video

At the end they had all this confetti go every where and had some music going. Adelynne thought that it was great and she was dancing like crazy, with her stuffed horse that Daddy got her haha. Here is a little bit of her Dancing
. video

After, we had to walk though gateway because we parked there. We had a little fun with the water fountains. It was a wonderful night.

18 months pictures

Another late post. Adelynne turned 18 months a few weeks ago. I found some time finally to do some photos of her. It took me awhile to find time to edit them. That's why they are so late. Anyways, she was being so goofy in a lot of them. You will see what I mean as you look at them. She really has grown up so much in the past few weeks. She is talking all the time. We are loving that. She has such an opinion on everything it's crazy. One thing that she has grown more into doing lately is she loves to clean up and put things in certain places. It's almost like it irritates her if something is not where it is suppose to be. It's funny. She will throw things away or put dirty clothes in the laundry. I just have a little helper on my hands. It's great! She is just so much fun. Both Brandon and I can't get enough of her, minus the tantrums. Oh and is she good at them haha. We have got the time out down haha. No she really is a sweet heart. We love her so much. Just cant believe she is over a year and a half. Time just continues to fly by. We are just trying to enjoy every minute we can. Here a few of the pictures.

Painting

It was time for a change in our house. It first started with moving our furniture around in our bedroom. Then we decided to paint an accent wall in our room. Then we decided it was time to paint our garage. So we did it all in two days. and we love how it all turned out! Now I have a big wall to decorate and I cant wait! if only I could find what I am looking for... I will have to take a picture of it all when it is finished but here are some pictures of everything so far.

Our room before.
And after. I ended up painting this mostly by my self because Brandon had to go home teaching so I was left to do it. It was fun though because when Brandon got back it was all done. I love the color!
The garage before (by the way the picture was taken after we had moved everything in the middle so we could paint. Just wanted to make sure that you know we did park our cars in the garage before it wasn't so messy haha I just had to make that clear)
And after. It took us just about 6 hours from start to finish. And we took no breaks it kind of kicked our butts but we are glad we didnt stop and got it done all at once. Adelynne did great! she would just play around then towards the end she decided that she didnt want to be down stairs anymore so she went up stairs and played all by her self. Brandon and I would go and check on her and she was just happy to be playing. we were suprised she did that. normally she needs someone around her. We are SO glad its done!
Don't they both look so much better. I still have to finish off the wall in our bed room but we are all ready loving it!

Big to small....

Well a big change for us! Or should I say small....
We have enjoyed this beautiful spacious vehicle for over a year. our Buick Enclave. Oh how I love this car...
And now we have come to this little cute car. our Mini Cooper S. I am getting use to it:)
What a change huh.
One funny story with this new car is that I had never learned how to drive a stick and so guess what I had to learn...yep a stick. So the week before we bought it Brandon had to make sure that I would be able to learn how to drive it. So I became a teenager again and stalled the car on every hill haha. It was awesome! I have become better but still not perfect haha so if you see me on the road and I stall you will know why. haha. Oh the joys! it has been fun to drive though. It has been a challenge with the size differences and also only having two doors. Getting Adelynne in and out can be irritating but all is well. You would be surprised as to how much you really can fit in the car. It surprises me every time. anyways we like the new car but I will always miss our enclave.
